Yes I did too much today, but that is just who I am sometimes. I know that I shouldn’t have run 7.0 miles this afternoon, especially after not running for the last 3 days because of the flu and feeling like crap right up to stepping on the treadmill. However, I just “had” to get out of the house and do something and for me today that was running on the treadmill.
It is strange how that when I am running on the treadmill, I don’t feel too bad even when I am running faster for me, I was able pick the pace up fairly well and the last 1.5 miles was a ladder up to 9.0 mph. No I didn’t feel great while I was running, but I wanted to just keep moving and see if I pushed it, if I could knock this bug out of me.
The only thing that I accomplished was after I finished, I felt completely drained and about all I could do was roll around on the foam roller.
I also know that I was not impressed with the PureFlows at all today. My feet were not comfortable in them and as I started to run faster my right foot felt like it was falling asleep. I didn’t know if I would be able to complete the run. I am not sure of why they felt so bad, but I do know, I wasn’t happy with them at all.
I was able to add 16.3 additional miles of running and walking to my #ChillyChallenge totals for Team Escapes this week even though I was sick. I walked every day even when I was sick, even though I didn’t run.
