With the freezing rain storm that is supposed to be here through Monday, I am not sure of how many miles I will be running outside, so I wanted to make sure that I got as long a run in as possible this afternoon.
This run was not about speed, it was all about getting outside and just running.Other than the rain and the poor footing in places, it wasn’t all that windy and the temps were pretty reasonable, 33 degrees when I started and 30 when I stopped.
Especially compared to the deep freeze last week.
Initially I was only going to go 8.0 or so, but when I got down to KMD, I was feeling pretty good, so I decided to go over to Winslow and then when I got over to the light, I went straight and ended up going past the Point Afta then back to Colby.
The hardest part of the run was running on sidewalks, which had 2-3 inches of slush, snow, puddles to wade through and just were tough to run on.
