7.0 Mile Progression Run – RunLog 2-6-14

I took the past two-days off, I know they were not planned, scheduled or even thought about before Tuesday afternoon. That morning I had planned on running 7.0 miles, but my body was really tired after my hard interval workout Monday, so I decided to wait until later in the day and do a bunch of errands.

As the day went along I just did not want to run. I felt tired and beat-up and finally around mid afternoon, I decided to bag the run for the day and rest. Yesterday was the snow storm and while I could have run, I still felt tired and that I needed another day.

Over the past month I have been consistently over 40 miles, plus my walking, with a lot of it in cold weather

It seems as though everything just caught up with me and for a change instead of pushing through, I decided to listen to my body and rest. This is a planned cut-back week, as far as my mileage goes and I would like to get somewhere between 35-40 miles in.  The couple of days off were not the end of the world and I know that I needed them – badly.
