In spite of my sort of whiner post this morning – I just want to run, my current training plan and my routine for Mondays is to do a speed workout on the treadmill at Champions.
My plan called for a 80-90 minute progression run with the last 20 minutes fast. To be honest, I didn’t feel like running that long today, I have been fighting a bug and decided to do 8-12 quarter-mile intervals (which is a strength for me), with a bail point after either 4 or 8 fast reps if I didn’t feel all that great.
I was doing really good until the 2.0 mile mark when I started to get that feeling that no runner enjoys – I had to go to bathroom and the feeling didn’t go away. I made it to 3.0 miles and I had to stop and go take a seat for a few minutes. This really interrupted my interval workout and took me out the zone, I gotten into.
