I want to do something a little different from most running shoe reviews, which do a quick review of a relatively new pair of shoes (typically around 50 miles) and that is all you hear about them.
You know – how they work when they are new.
I know that most writers who write running shoe reviews have too many running shoes in the pipeline to do extended running shoe reviews and do not get very many miles beyond that initial review on any given pair of shoes. The misfortune of having too many pairs of running shoes 😉
Unfortunately, my experience with my own 50 mile shoe reviews, is that too many pair of running shoes that I loved at the 50 mile point, turned into shoes that couldn’t or wouldn’t run anymore by the time I got to 100 or 200 miles.
Over the course of the next few weeks, I will be going through my running shoe collection and if I am no longer regularly running in a pair, do a retirement/get rid of it review.
Well I finally had a pair of running shoes that made it over that magical 400 mile mark.
