There was a lot of bad news this morning and until around 10:00 or so, we were unsure whether I would be driving to Boston or not today.
However, before I could do anything else, the check tire light came on last night in the Transit and we have had other issues related to that. So I made an online appointment last night.
Just before I left for the appointment, I got word that I didn’t have to drive to Boston, so while that was a relief, with that call there was some bad news.
After the call, I went to the 11:00 AM appointment with the dealership to check it out. That way whatever the issue was I could get it fixed before I needed to go on any long trip. Luckily it was just an air pressure alert on one of the tires.
Yeah, when I finished there I needed a run.

Planned Workout: I planned on a 4-5 mile recovery run after yesterday’s hard intervals on the treadmill.
Variables that impacted the run: I needed the run after the bad news that we got this morning. Plus my legs were pretty crispy after yesterday’s intervals.
Shoes Worn: New Balance Beacon 2 (206.2) For a recovery run, the Beacons are a bit too firm and while they do well for most everything else, this is not their strongest suite.
Comments: I definitely started out slow and did not speed up too much during this run. It took almost two miles until the legs got things figured out and then I just continued to run relaxed. It was what I needed today, a nice easy run in the rain.
How did this run move me towards my goal(s)? This run was all about running easy and getting the legs moving. It is not always about running hard or fast.
